چکیده

We study equations over torsion-free groups in terms of their “t–shape” (the occurences of the variable t in the equation). A t–shape is good if any equation with that shape has a solution. It is an outstanding conjecture [5] that all t–shapes are good. In [2] we proved the conjecture for a large class of t–shapes called amenable. In [1] Clifford and Goldstein characterised a class of good t–shapes using a transformation on t–shapes called the Magnus derivative. In this note we introduce an inverse transformation called blowing up. Amenability can be defined using blowing up; moreover the connection with differentiation gives a useful characterisation and implies that the class of amenable t–shapes is strictly larger than the class considered by Clifford and Goldstein. Conjugacy Classes of Solutions to Equations and Inequations over Hyperbolic Groups

We study conjugacy classes of solutions to systems of equations and inequations over torsion-free hyperbolic groups, and describe an algorithm to recognize whether or not there are finitely many conjugacy classes of solutions to such a system. The class of immutable subgroups of hyperbolic groups is introduced, which is fundamental to the study of equations in this context. We apply our results...

Torsion of cylindrically poroelasic circular shaft with radial inhomogeneity .some exact solutions for extruder

Torsion of elastic and poroelastic circular shaft of radially inhomogeneous, cylindrically orthotropic materials is studied with emphasis on the end effects example for extruder. To examine the conjecture of Saint-Venant’s torsion, we consider torsion of circular shaft with one end fixed and the other end free on which tractions that results in a pure torque are prescribed arbitrarily over the fr...

Results on Engel Fuzzy Subgroups

‎In the classical group theory there is‎ an open question‎: ‎Is every torsion free n-Engel group (for n ≥ 4)‎, nilpotent?‎. ‎To answer the question‎, ‎Traustason‎ [11] showed that with some additional conditions all‎ ‎4-Engel groups are locally nilpotent‎. ‎Here‎, ‎we gave some partial‎ answer to this question on Engel fuzzy subgroups‎. ‎We show that if μ is a normal 4-Engel fuzzy‎ subgroup of ...
